An agreement is a collectively negotiated agreement ⁽¹⁾ concluded between AIIC, representing all interpreters, members and non-members, and a large conference organiser (European Union, United Nations, etc.). On 22.2.1999 agreements had been concluded with:

• The organisations of the United Nations System (the list of organisations is provided in the agreement);
• The European Union (Court of Justice, European Parliament, Commission, Court of Auditors);
• Certain International Trade Secretariats (ITS);
• Interpol;
• "Co-ordinated organisations" (the list of these organisations is indicated in the agreement).
