AIIC sets professional standards and working conditions accepted
worldwide. Together with the International
Organization for Standardization (ISO)  ,
AIIC's Technical and Health Committee has drawn up standards ISO
2603 for built-in interpretation booths and equipment for simultaneous
interpreting and ISO
4043 for mobile booths for use in conference rooms without built-in
facilities.
AIIC is monitoring closely any new developments in the use of conference
equipment, with special attention to remote
conferencing.
