AIIC members are experienced conference interpreters whose qualifications and professionalism have undergone close scrutiny before their admission to AIIC. AIIC members offer a great variety of conference languages. AIIC members provide interpretation in the public and private sectors, in national and international governmental and non-governmental institutions, agencies and organisations. Their employers include the United Nations, the European Union, national governments, private business firms, scientific and research bodies, professional congress organisers, and many more. AIIC members respect the association’s Code of professional ethics. The main requirements of the Code are that interpreters must observe absolute secrecy in their work, accept work only if they are qualified to do it and adopt a professional, dignified approach to each assignment.
