Dr. Ebru Diriker, Associate Professor of Interpreting Studies at Bogazici University (Istanbul) will offer the next AIIC Training of Trainers Seminar on
Making interpreting studies research relevant to the classroom: topics, methods and practicalities
This seminar is the first in a new series of pedagogical seminars to be offered over the next three years by the AIIC Training Committee.
The first series of four seminars explored the basic aspects of teaching conference interpretation and provided a general introduction to interpreting studies.
This advanced series is intended for conference interpreters who are relatively new to the classroom and interested in expanding the foundations for their teaching, as well as for experienced teachers of interpretation seeking to pool pedagogical ideas.
Participants receive a Certificate of Attendance from AIIC for each individual seminar attended. Those who attend all three advanced seminars will be awarded a Certificate of Completion for the full AIIC Training of Trainers Seminars Advanced Series.
This seminar will be held in English.
Minimum number of participants: 12
Maximum number of participants: 20
Depending on the number of applications, a second identical seminar may be held on Jan 28 (pm only) and 29 (all day). In that event, participants will be asked a preferred date.
