The net salary rates are net of national income tax and staff assessment. They include a social security element of 9% which, together with the interpreter's contribution of 4.5%, is paid upon request into either the CPIC or the CPIT. A further contribution for health protection varying between 0.5% and 1.5% of the next salary rate is added to the net rate by the organisations. Members of restricted teams are paid 160% of the rates otherwise applicable.
